Hosts Rajasthan Royals eased to a 9-wicket win with 13 balls to spare over Delhi Daredevils at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Skipper Raul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane opening combination did the trick for the Rajasthan Royals as they chased a target of 155 without any fuss. With this easy win, the Rajasthan Royals are sitting at no.2 with 8 wins in 12 matches. Delhi Daredevils remain at second last with 9 defeats in 12 matches.

Delhi Daredevils who are having a nightmare of a tournament were going nowhere batting first in the afternoon. Virender Sehwag failed yet again, bowled by Faulkner in the 2nd over. The next big player David Warner was dismissed for an 18-ball 13 caught low at covers with Delhi crawling at 47 for 3. Skipper Mahela Jayawardene (34 from 31 balls) was gone in the 12th over flicking one straight into the hands of mid wicket with his team at 79 for 4.

Delhi could have easily crushed to a below par total of 120 from that situation but for a superb partnership between Ben Rohrer and Kedar Jadhav which gave them hopes of winning the match. Rohrer remained unbeaten with a 40-ball 64 with 9 fours and a six. Jadhav supported him with 23* from 21 balls as Delhi recovered to post 154 for 4.

The run chase for the Rajasthan Royals was made to look very easy because of a century stand for the first wicket from Dravid and Rahane. Dravid went onto score 53 from 48 balls with 7 fours. Rahane finished the match with a 45-ball 63* (with 5 fours and a six) alongside Shane Watson who scored a quick 28* from 14 balls.
