Batting first after losing the toss, Delhi were rescued to 392 thanks to a superb 163 from Rajat Bhatia. Bengal in reply did slightly better with a total of 397 for 9 declared. Manoj Tiwary followed up his century against the West Indies with a stroke-filled 187 with 24 fours to help Bengal get the lead. For Delhi, left arm pacer Pradeep Sangwan took five wickets.
Delhi finished the match at 186 for 3 in 57 overs in their second innings with Puneet Bisht (57), Skipper Mithun Manhas (52*) and Yogesh Nagar (50*) scoring fifties.
