The Gujarat-Tamil NaduRanji Elite Group B match ended in a high scoring draw at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad. This four-day game saw two double centuries - first from India Test hopeful AbhinavMukund (220) for Tamil Nadu and the second one was from ManpritJuneja (201*).
Tamil Nadu picked up three points out of the drawn game because of their first innings lead. Batting first after winning the toss, Tamil Nadu piled up 698 for 8 declared. Apart from AbhinavMukund's 220, there were centuries coming in from S Badrinath (102), DineshKarthik (135) and K Vasudevadas (105). Gujarat replied with a huge total of 539, but was still way short of TN's first innings score. ManpritJuneja batting in the middle order was the top scorer with 201.
The match finished with Tamil Nadu at 100 for no loss in 14 overs with opener Murali Vijay helping himself with an unbeaten 57 from 45 balls.
